This policy explains how we treat personal information collected through geotehnica.com and in the course of providing professional services.

• Information you give us. Name, company, email address, telephone number, project or site address, and the description you enter in our enquiry form or send by email.
• Automatically collected technical data. IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit, recorded by our hosting provider's server logs.
• Cookie and analytics data. Where you consent, identifiers used to measure site performance and advertising effectiveness. See our Cookie Policy.
• Project records. Documents, plans and correspondence provided by clients for the delivery of engineering services.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and we do not sell personal information.

Enquiry correspondence that does not become a project is retained for up to 24 months. Project files, boring logs, laboratory data and sealed reports are retained for at least ten years in line with professional practice, insurance requirements and applicable statutes of limitation. Server logs are retained for up to 12 months. When retention periods lapse, records are deleted or securely destroyed.

This site is served over HTTPS. Access to project and client data is restricted to staff who need it, protected by unique credentials and multi-factor authentication where available, and backed up regularly. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so please do not send sensitive personal information such as financial account details through the website form.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• request a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
• ask us to correct inaccurate information;
• ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep;
• object to or restrict certain processing, including marketing measurement;
